By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: In recent years, the residents of Gales Point Manatee began seeking ways to mitigate erosion in their community.
This week, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing Stann Creek team placed pieces of piles left over from construction of bridges on the Coastal Plains Highway just off the coast of the small community.
These piles will act to control erosion.
