By Zoila Palma: Seven residents from Corozal, Orange Walk, Ladyville, and Belize City experienced a life-changing moment as they received the keys to homes they can call their own for the first time.
On January 7, 2026, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) handed over the keys to their new homes.
“More than just shelter, these homes bring lasting security and peace of mind for them and their families,” the Ministry said.
MIDH says that it remains committed to empowering Belizeans through its housing program.
