By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The dream of homeownership has now become a reality for five families who recently received their first homes from the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH).
The newly awarded homes are part of the MIDH’s ongoing commitment to ensure that every Belizean family has a place to call their own. This initiative not only addresses the immediate housing needs of these families but also fosters a sense of community and belonging.
“The burden of rent payments, a constant worry for many, was lifted, replaced by the security and pride of owning their own home,” the Government of Belize Press Office said in a brief statement announcing the houses handover.
“This life-changing opportunity will undoubtedly have a profound and lasting impact on these families, providing them with a stable foundation for their future.”
The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing continues to work to provide affordable housing solutions for Belizean families.
“The Ministry of Infrastructure Development & Housing remains committed to ensuring that every Belizean family has a place to call their own,” the GOB Press Office said.
