By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: During cabinet’s meeting on November 28, 2023, Prime Minister John Briceno announced the appointment of Sharole Carr Saldivar as the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries.
The Prime Minister also thanked Former CEO Kevin Arthurs, for serving as CEO in the ministry from November 2020 to November 2023.
“Being entrusted with such a critical position in the ministry makes me encouraged by the opportunity to contribute new perspectives and ideas. It signifies not only a recognition of my capabilities but also a broader acknowledgment of the importance of diverse perspectives in shaping the future of our nation. As the first female CEO in this Ministry, I am committed to using this platform to inspire and empower the staff and others, irrespective of gender,” Sharole expressed.
“I am committed to fostering growth and innovation in our ministry and contributing to the prosperity of Belize, particularly in the realm of home affairs and new growth initiatives. My vision is to lead collaboratively, fostering an environment that encourages innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable development. Together with the staff of the ministry, the Heads of Department of the Belize Police Department, the National Forensic Science Service, the Prison, and the Leadership Intervention Unit, I am eager to address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, working tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens,” the new CEO added.
CEO Saldivar says that she is ready to embrace the responsibilities of this role with dedication, passion, and a commitment to serve the People of Belize with the utmost integrity.
