By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Health & Wellness, in partnership with UNICEF Belize and the Government of Korea, has recently installed several portable drinking water stations across various health facilities.
Each water station, valued at BZ$38,000, is part of the Water and Sanitation for Health Facility Improvement Tool (WASH FIT) initiative.
Implemented through the Licensing and Accreditation Unit, WASH FIT aims to enhance quality improvement plans within health facilities, including ensuring the provision of safe drinking water for both staff and patients.
