By Aaron Humes: According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness, preliminary data from its Epidemiology Unit reports fewer road traffic incidents in 2023.

There were 52 reported accidents in 2023, 27 fewer than in 2022. Also, 18 persons died while riding motorcycles in 2023 compared to 37 in 2022. The Ministry notes that final figures are being validated after consultations with key agencies.

Nonetheless, after a recent rash of incidents during the George Price Day holiday weekend, the Ministry reminds users of the road to stay within speed limits to reach their destination safely and avoid drinking and driving.

In summary, the Ministry says,
