By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Health and Wellness launched the Belize Human Resources for Health Policy and Strategic Plan 2026-2030 on June 25, 2026.
Taiwan’s Ambassador Amino Chi attended the official launch.
“Taiwan welcomes this important milestone and looks forward to continuing to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Belize in public health and healthcare capacity building for the benefit of both peoples,” the Taiwan Embassy in Belize said.
The Policy and Strategic Plan marks an important milestone in strengthening Belize’s health workforce through enhanced planning, education, training, recruitment, and retention.
These efforts will help build a more resilient and sustainable healthcare system for Belize.
