By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MoHW) is urging the public to take immediate precautions as dengue fever, commonly referred to as “breakbone fever,” is going around.
Dengue is a mosquito-borne illness known for causing severe flu-like symptoms, including high fever, intense body aches, and fatigue.
The Ministry is encouraging all residents to protect themselves by eliminating mosquito breeding sites, such as stagnant water in containers, drains, and outdoor areas.
