Ministry of Health and Wellness says Western Regional Hospital remains open as MIDH assesses flooded areas

The management of Western Regional Hospital informed that as a result of the heavy rains today, certain areas of the hospital have been affected by localized flooding.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MoHW) is actively assessing the impacted areas and has begun working closely with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing to evaluate the extent of the damage and determine the necessary repairs. The Ministry remains committed to restoring any affected areas as quickly and safely as possible.

Despite these challenges, the Western Regional Hospital remains fully operational, and patient care services continue at this time. Dedicated healthcare professionals remain on duty and are committed to providing safe, quality, and uninterrupted healthcare services to all who depend on the hospital.

The MoHW appreciates the understanding, patience, and support of the public as it works through this situation.

The safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff remain the Ministry’s highest priority.
