By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Earlier this week, the Ministry of Health and Wellness participated in the UNICEF Strategic Moment of Reflection (SMR) Marketplace.
The market place provided a platform for the Ministry to highlight Healthy Habits, Healthy Schools Healthy Belize Initiative which promotes healthy food options habits such as good nutrition in schools.
The booth presented information on the Food Based Dietary Guidelines, the importance of drinking water and the harmful effects of sugar and salt.
The Ministry expressed gratitude to UNICEF for the opportunity to impart knowledge so that adolescents and youths can build healthy habits.
