By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) has launched the holiday season “Don’t Drink and Drive” campaign through the National Drug Abuse Control Council (NDAC).
The initiative commenced in Corozal Town with a traffic stop, providing commuters with vital information about the perils of drinking and driving.
The seasonal campaign aims to spread awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence.
The Ministry will also be airing advisories on radio, TV, and social media platforms throughout the holiday season.
These efforts are made possible through collaborative partnerships with the Police Department, Transport Department, Municipal Traffic Department, and Health Education and Community Participation Bureau-HECOPAB Community Health Workers.
“Together, we can create a safer and healthier community,” the Ministry said.
