Ministry of Health and Wellness hosts Validation workshop for Community Health Workers 

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On March 12, 2024, the Ministry of Health and Wellness hosted a Validation workshop for Community Health Workers.

The purpose of the workshop was to review the draft Community Health Workers manual and the Job Aides booklet for Community Health Workers, 2024.

Specific Technical advisors attended and assisted along with the revision of information and communication materials that CHWs would generally be expected to share and provide support within the communities they serve. 

The day ended with a healthy discussion on next steps and submissions from all on edits to the documents. 

The Ministry thanked Consultant and facilitator Dr. Minerva Pinelo Alvarez and team from Right Insights. 

The final production and launch of these manuals are expected later this year with the support from UNICEF Belize and funding from the Government and people of Korea.
