By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Health and Wellness on November 26 held a Human Resource for Health (HRH) Stakeholder Consultation as it moves toward finalizing the HRH Strategic Plan 2026–2030.
The plan is a central pillar of the Belize Health Sector Strategic Plan, setting the national direction for health workforce development.
The consultation brought together national partners and regional experts, including representatives from Dalhousie University, a PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centre that is supporting Belize through a national HRH mapping and forecasting exercise.
The Ministry thanked all stakeholders for their contributions, noting that the collaborative effort is helping to build a resilient, well-distributed and competent health workforce capable of delivering quality, accessible and people-centred care for all Belizeans.
