Ministry of Economic Development and Ministers discuss plans for Police station in Bella Vista, Toledo

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Championed by Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Osmond Martinez and the Ministry of Economic Development, Ministers Michael Espat, Rodwell Fergudon and Oscar Requeña visited Bella Vista for a discussion and presentation on a one of a kind Police Station for the village.

Last year, a site was selected through discussions with the Belize Police Department, the Village Council and other stakeholders.

Since then, works commenced on the planning and design.

The new police station will be 2,200 square feet and will feature a parking lot and other amenities to improve citizen security in the village.

The project is a part of the CABEI funded Belize Integral Security Program.
