By Zoila Palma: On July 17, 2026, the Cayo Extension Service with support from CRESAP successfully hosted a pasture establishment and farm management training in the area of El Pilar, Cayo.
The training was facilitated by Extension Officer Franklin Padron who provided 23 participants with practical knowledge on pasture establishment, grazing management and effective farm management practices to improve livestock productivity and sustainability.
Neidy Moh, CRESAP Officer educated farmers about the CRESAP Project, highlighting its objectives and its support available to livestock producers through its initiative to support pasture improvements efforts.
All participants received Brizantha and Mombasa grass seeds for establishment on their farms.
The Ministry says that this initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Cayo Extension Services and the CRESAP Project to strengthen the livestock sector through farmer education, improve pasture management and climate smart agricultural practices
