Ministry of Agriculture conducts production data validation process in Southern Belize

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Policy Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the District Agriculture Officers, is conducting field visits farmers in the Southern Districts of Stann Creek and Toledo as part of the data validation process for the 2023 production.

The MAFSE officers have visited cacao, banana, tomato, and rice, and chicken farms and facilities, among others, during their field visits.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE) said the data validation process seeks to ensure that the production data is accurate and reliable. This should help in making informed decisions and effective policies.

The Ministry of Agriculture said it values transparency and integrity in agricultural data and this validation process demonstrates its commitment to these principles.
