By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Public Service, Governance, and Disaster Risk Management has expressed its deepest condolences to the family of four-year-old Kyra Bennett, who tragically lost her life in a house fire in Belize City early this morning.
In an official statement, the Ministry said it stands in solidarity with the grieving family during this period of immense sorrow, acknowledging the unimaginable pain of losing a child. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this difficult time,” the release noted.
The Ministry also commended the swift response of the Belize National Fire Service and confirmed that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
It called on the nation to continue supporting the Bennett family and those affected by the tragedy, honoring young Kyra’s memory in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
