By Zoila Palma: On February 11, 2026, Dr. Osmond Martinez, Minister of State from the Ministry of Economic Transformation conducted a site visit at Monkey River to see the progress of the climate mitigation interventions regarding coastal erosion.
During his visit, villagers of the community expressed their gratitude for the support.
“This intervention will ensure the community’s survival and contribute to its economic transformation,” the Ministry explained.
Minister Martinez was accompanied by Leroy Martinez, Acting Director of Climate Finance Unit, and Christopher Tapia, Climate Finance Officer.
