By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Tuesday, October 29, Nicaragua hosted an Intersectoral Meeting between the Council of Ministers of Economic Integration and the Central American Agricultural Council.
The meeting aimed to discuss strategies and actions relevant to the agricultural sector within a global and regional context.
Significant agreements were reached to strengthen the agricultural sectors across the region, focusing on enhancing competitiveness in foreign trade by identifying opportunities and challenges.
Representatives from Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama attended the meeting in person, while El Salvador and Costa Rica participated virtually.
Ministers from Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, and the Dominican Republic were also present at the Olof Palme Convention Center for the Central American Agricultural Council discussions.
