By Zoila Palma: Minister of Foreign Affairs Francis Fonseca and CEO Amalia Mai are participating in the Sixteenth Special Meeting of the Community Council of Ministers in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis.
Discussions are focused on plenary items for decision ahead of the 50th Regular Meeting of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, including the CARICOM Secretariat Work Programme, Budget and Contribution Formula for 2026, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Single Market and Economy (CSME), reparations, applications for membership and associate membership.
In addition, the ministers will discuss the proposed amendments to the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas, and the CARICOM Industrial Policy.
