By Zoila Palma: Today, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Oscar Requena visited the Belize City Institute for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ITVET), where he toured the facility and engaged with trainees pursuing careers in various technical fields.
Minister Requena emphasized the importance of technical and vocational education in shaping Belize’s workforce and encouraged trainees to stay dedicated, work hard, and strive for excellence.
He also reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting skills development, ensuring that students have access to quality training and opportunities for growth.
“Technical and vocational skills are key drivers of economic empowerment and national development, and the Belize City ITVET continues to equip students with the hands-on expertise needed to succeed,” the Ministry noted.
