By Zoila Palma: On February 5, 2026, Minister of Agriculture Rodwell Ferguson continued his tour of the Stann Creek District with visits to several citrus farms in Saint Margaret’s Village.
Minister Ferguson was accompanied by Minister of State Alex Balona and a management team from the Ministry.
This leg of Minister Ferguson’s tour takes a critical look at the progress of the recovery of the citrus industry, as visits to orchards in St. Margaret’s and Birdview, as well as the CGA’s germplasm bank in Hope Creek, show the state of recuperation orchards are undergoing at present from citrus greening.
Minister Ferguson is also visiting Hopkins and Riversdale and meeting with farmers.
