By Zoila Palma: On November 25, 2025, Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries Rodwell Ferguson, and Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture Alex Balona attended the 96th Extraordinary Meeting of the International Regional Committee for Agricultural Health (CIRSA), which was held virtually.
The meeting approved the OIRSA budget for 2026.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries of Belize and President of CIRSA, Rodwell Ferguson.
At the extraordinary meeting of CIRSA, the External Audit report of OIRSA Headquarters, National Representations and Employee Protection System for 2024 was presented.
In addition, the External Audit report of Projects and Regional Agreements and Local Conventions for the same year was also presented.
