By Zoila Palma: On November 24, 2025, Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries Rodwell Ferguson and Minister of State Alex Balona met with representatives at Santander Sugar Factory.
Discussions included sugar markets, pricing, movement in the industry at local, regional and international level and the plans for expansion for a sugar refinery.
In addition, Ministers Ferguson and Balona also toured the factory facilities, cane fields and the research facility.
