The scope of the project will include technical and supervisory support for utility-scale solar power projects, funding to facilitate new solar power purchase agreements, and significant modernization of the electrical grid, including battery energy storage systems, to accommodate variable renewable energy.
Recently, U.S. Ambassador Michelle Kwan, MCC CEO Alice Albright, and the MCC team also met with Minister of Education Francis Fonseca, Chief Executive Officer Dian Maheia, and Chief Education Officer Yolanda Gongora.
Of the US $125 million, 80 percent is dedicated to education, underscoring the United States’ commitment to promoting equitable access to high-quality education.
