By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize’s U‑15 Women’s National Volleyball Team capped their campaign at the 2nd Central American U‑15 Invitational Volleyball Championship in Managua with a bronze medal and individual honours for libero Miley Armstrong, who was named both Best Libero and Best Defender of the tournament.
Armstrong’s consistency and composure in the back court were instrumental in Belize’s resilience throughout the week, culminating in a commanding 3–0 victory over hosts Nicaragua (25–18, 25–21, 25–21) in Sunday’s bronze‑medal play‑off. The win avenged an earlier five‑set defeat to the same opponent and secured third place for Belize after a demanding group stage.
In the gold‑medal final, Honduras defeated Guatemala 3–0 (28–26, 25–21, 25–18) to claim the championship, completing an unbeaten run in Managua.
