By Horace Palacio: The weather across Belize remains calm and mild, with little to no rainfall expected over the next 24 hours. Offshore areas, the cayes, and the southern regions may experience isolated showers or light rain, but the overall forecast points to fair conditions prevailing throughout the day.
Marine forecasts indicate manageable conditions for those on the water, with north-northwest winds blowing at 5-15 knots. The sea state will be choppy, with wave heights reaching between 3-5 feet.
Temperatures are comfortable, with highs of 85°F (29°C) inland, 82°F (28°C) along the coast, and 72°F (22°C) in the hills. Overnight, temperatures will dip to 67°F (19°C) inland, 72°F (22°C) on the coast, and a brisk 61°F (16°C) in the hills.
Looking ahead, Sunday will bring similar weather, although there is a slight increase in the chances of showers or light rain, particularly in coastal and offshore areas during the night.
For mariners, today’s tides are low at 8:59 AM and 8:52 PM, with high tides expected at 2:55 PM and early Sunday morning at 2:30 AM. Sunrise was at 6:18 AM, with sunset at 5:23 PM. The moon will set at 11:11 AM and rise again at 11:19 PM tonight.
