By Aaron Humes: Former youth leader and pastor Mervin Budram was in court for a continuation of his sexual assault case in Belmopan.
Per attorney Arthur Saldivar, the matter has been adjourned to September 13 as Director of Public Prosecutions Cheryl-Lynn Vidal is dealing with some High Court matters and the presiding magistrate has asked for submissions on a preliminary point of law.
Budram is accused of 13 counts of sexual assault against various girls and women during his time as a youth leader, including against the daughter of Pastor Scott Stirm, Rebecca Stirm Lennan. He denies the charges.
