By Zoila Palma: Male workers continue to dominate Belize’s labour force, representing more than three-fifths of all employed persons in April 2026, according to data from the Statistical Institute of Belize’s (SIB) Labour Force Survey.
The survey found that out of 166,894 employed persons, men accounted for the majority share.
Overall employment remained concentrated among working-age adults, particularly those between 25 and 44 years, who made up nearly half of all employed persons.
