By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner has publicly indicated that he favors his son-in-law and current Deputy Mayor, Eluide Miller, as a potential successor.
While noting that party conventions and decisions have not yet been finalized, Wagner acknowledged Miller’s steady rise within the council, highlighting his progression from intern to staff member, and eventually to councillor and deputy mayor.
According to Wagner, Miller has worked closely alongside him over the years and has gained valuable experience in both administrative and public service roles.
The mayor emphasized that while he holds Miller in high regard, the final decision on leadership will ultimately rest with the party.
