By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Mayor of San Ignacio and Santa Elena Earl Trapp is making a public appeal to all motorists in San Ignacio and Santa Elena to exercise extreme caution and drive within the speed limits in Town.
Recently, there have been reports of speeding on the Bullet Tree Road and parents are concerned about students walking to and from school.
“I was made to understand that an accident almost happened last night on the Bullet Tree road by the gas station. Life is precious and cannot be replaced. Let us be responsible and drive safely. Make our twin towns safe for all pedestrians,” the Mayor said.
Mayor Trapp informed that the council will commence to install pedestrian ramps in areas where it is necessary.
