By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Mayor of San Ignacio and Santa Elena, Earl Trapp who is the only UDP Mayor in the country, says that the UDP was devastated during the Toledo East by election on Wednesday.
The PUP’s Dr. Osmond Martinez won the constituency in a landslide victory.
“It means that we have a lot of work to do in our party. First of all, I believe that our party needs a general reform, that is my personal opinion and I said I would have waited for a week or so but since you are asking I believe that our party needs a general reform and when I say a general reform I mean that you know what general means,” Trapp stated.
“We are not going anywhere with what we have right now the way we are we will not go anywhere sir and my people we are going, we are actually and literally on a, I wouldn’t even say an uphill battle it’s a wall. It’s very steep for us. If we don’t get our act and make the best-informed decision to reform we will be here for the next 50 years as the opposition,” Trapp said.
