By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The moment of truth has arrived at the World Cup. The third and final round of group stage matches kicks off today, and for football fans across Belize, this is where things get serious.
After two rounds of action, the picture in several groups is still far from settled. Today’s games will decide who books their place in the knockout rounds and who is sent packing, with qualification, group positions and seedings all on the line.
There is plenty for Belizean fans to sink their teeth into. In Group B, co-hosts Canada face a stern test against Switzerland in what could be a decisive clash at the top. Group A sees Czechia take on a Mexico side that has been one of the standout teams of the tournament so far, while South Africa and South Korea meet in the group’s other fixture.
One of the standout games of the day comes in Group C, where Scotland take on the mighty Brazil. Morocco, level with Brazil near the top of that group, will look to take care of business against Haiti. Rounding out the day’s schedule, Bosnia and Herzegovina face Qatar in Group B.
