Martin Rivera born and nurtured in the beautiful village of San Victor.
Martin has been an inspiration to hundreds of students through his (15) years as an educator in different categories of education in the at least 5 countries (Belize, Taiwan, Barbados, Mexico and USA) where he has displayed his teach talent in distinguished areas of education. At an early age; Martin has been involved in politics until when his desire was approved by his committee as he was elected as the Chairman of San Victor Village. He has been serving his community and constituency where he has gained the confidence of his supporters. In his constituency, Martin is a trustworthy highly educated young man with a great deal of integrity and honesty.
Today, he the youngest aspiring politician of the great UDP, a true role model from San Victor village, Corozal Southwest and Belize. He possesses an Associate degree in Mathematics from (CJC), A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Diploma in Education methodology from the University of Belize. Martin earned a scholarship for his first Master’s Degree in Electric Power Engineering from the National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan.
During his tenure at National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan he published “A study on GaN HEMT-based totem-Pole Bridgeless PFC Converter”. Martin believes in consistent capacitation for betterment; therefore, he completed a second Master’s in Education form Universidad Interamericana de Desarrollo Quintana Roo, Mexico. Martin Rivera is a Global open minded young star, uses a holistic approach and experiences in decision making.
Martin Rivera has contributed to the advancement of education and technology, represented Belize in STEM in UWI, amalgamating education & technology at San Ford and displayed solutions of a major technological issue in NSYSU. Martin will always say “education open opportunities” to everyone and prepares us to be independent thinker and go-getters.
He believes that life is not easy but filled with a 1000s opportunities that every youth can take advantage. We are delighted to have Martin Rivera, a village man, as our UDP Standard bearer as he knows the difficult challenges we undergo in a daily base. Martin clear understands that “U deserve better” and “Belize can do better”.
