Man who allegedly attacked stepmother to undergo psychiatric evaluation

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Esaui Louima, 27, of Tibruce Street, appeared in court on Tuesday charged with wounding his stepmother. Louima, who claimed he attacked his stepmother because she had a “bad spirit,” was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation due to his erratic behavior during the hearing.

The court remanded Louima to Belize Central Prison until the evaluation is completed. The complainant reported swelling and cuts to her face, stating that Louima, her stepson, attacked her at home without provocation. His next court date is set for July 30, 2024.
