By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police are investigating a traffic accident that left a motorcyclist injured after he lost control and fell into a drain in Orange Walk District on Sunday afternoon.
According to initial investigations, the rider was operating a scooter along Blackwater Creek Street when he failed to navigate a corner near San Lorenzo Road. The motorcycle veered off the roadway and dropped into a deep drain.
Emergency responders assisted the injured rider, who was later taken to the Northern Regional Hospital with a head injury. The extent of his injuries has not been officially disclosed.
Police and Scenes of Crime officers processed the area as part of ongoing investigations. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the accident.
