By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police are searching for a man following a report of assault and the kidnapping of a child in Guinea Grass Village.
According to reports, a 20-year-old woman told police that she was socializing when she was allegedly punched to the left side of her face by her common-law partner. She further reported that the individual then abducted her one-year-old child.
Officials say the incident was reported on March 26, 2026, and the complainant was issued a medico-legal form following the report.
Police have since launched an investigation and are seeking the individual, who was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and khaki short pants. Reports indicate that he may be heading toward Corozal Town.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
