By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A man in Orange Walk Town returned home to find his house ransacked and thousands of dollars in belongings missing, prompting a police report.
According to the Belize Police Department, the 26-year-old contractor of Orange Walk Town reported that on June 27, 2026, he left for work in the morning and came back around 4:30 p.m. to discover his home had been disturbed.
Upon checking, he reported finding damage to household items, including the cable of his refrigerator and his internet modem. He then realised that several items were missing altogether. Among the reported stolen goods were a MacBook Air valued at $600, a twin tub washing machine valued at $475, a laser level kit valued at $700, an iPhone valued at $300, and a pair of sneakers valued at $200.
The complainant told police he was later able to track his stolen phone to another part of the country, and reported seeing activity on his social media accounts.
Police recorded a statement from the complainant, who requested court action. The matter remains under investigation, and police have identified a person they wish to speak with in connection with the report.
