By Horace Palacio: A deadly shooting on Cemetery Road in Belize City in the early hours of Friday, March 21, 2025, has left one man dead and two others hospitalized. Around 12:15 a.m., police responded to reports of gunfire near Atlantic Bank, where they found a white car crashed into a fence.
Inside the vehicle, Floyd McFadzen, described as a man of East Indian descent, was discovered motionless with gunshot wounds to the face and body. Meanwhile, Deon Gladden and Troy Gentle, who were also injured in the shooting, were rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment.
Investigators recovered several expended shells from the scene and are now working to piece together the events leading up to the attack. Surveillance footage from nearby businesses is being reviewed, and police continue to follow leads. No suspects have been detained at this time.
As investigations unfold, police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
