By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 26-year-old call center agent from Dangriga, currently residing in Belize City, has been charged with threatening to kill a woman and is now out on bail.
Jassiem Darwin Bush appeared before a Magistrate in Court #4 where he was arraigned on a single charge of threat of death. Allegations are that on Saturday, October 18, 2025, while on Church Street, Belize City, Bush threatened a woman, reportedly telling her, “You don’t know me, I wah kill yuh.”
Bush, who resides on Tigris Street, pleaded not guilty to the charge. When he attempted to offer an explanation, the Magistrate advised him that this was not the time to do so since he had entered a not guilty plea.
The court granted Bush bail of $800 plus one surety of the same amount, with strict conditions. He is to have no contact, direct or indirect, with the complainant, must remain at least 100 yards away from her, and is required to report once a week to the Dangriga Police Station, beginning Friday, October 24.
Bush informed the court that he will no longer reside in Belize City. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 19, 2025.
