
By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Orange Walk are investigating a domestic dispute that turned violent on Monday morning in the Black Water area of Trial Farm Village.
According to reports, a 22-year-old woman was at home around 8:00 a.m. when her ex-common-law husband, identified as a 26-year-old laborer, arrived and demanded to speak with her. The woman refused to open the door, prompting the man to force his way inside by kicking it open.
Once inside, he allegedly grabbed her by the arm, leading to a brief struggle. The confrontation ended when the victim’s cousin arrived, prompting the aggressor to release her and leave the area.
Police have since recorded a statement from the complainant, and the suspect is wanted for questioning in connection with the incident.
Authorities continue to urge victims of domestic abuse to come forward and seek help, reminding the public that such behavior will not be tolerated.
