By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police have arrested and charged a man with a firearm offence, accusing him of being armed while under the influence.
According to the Belize Police Department, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at around 3:45 p.m., police swore to an information and complaint and formally arrested and charged Nelson Bulum with the offence of possession of a firearm whilst being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
A copy of his charge sheet was issued to him and read in a language he understands. He was subsequently cautioned and chose to remain silent.
