According to police, charges were laid on Thursday, January 8, after investigations into the incident were completed. The accused faces multiple offences, including driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drinks or drugs, driving without due care and attention, using an unlicensed motor vehicle, and negligent wounding.
Police say the charges stem from the circumstances surrounding the traffic accident, which resulted in injuries.
The accused was later granted bail in the sum of one thousand dollars and is expected to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on Friday, January 16, 2026.
