By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Orange Walk are searching for a San Lazaro man accused of assaulting his former partner during a domestic incident on November 28, 2025. The victim filed a report the following day describing the ordeal, which occurred around 7:20 p.m. inside her home.
According to the report, the woman’s former partner arrived at the residence intoxicated and began verbally abusing her while she was bathing. After she exited the bathroom and entered the kitchen, he allegedly continued insulting her before pushing her into a table and choking her.
The confrontation escalated when she moved toward the living room, where the man reportedly grabbed her by both hands and threw her to the floor. The victim stated that she managed to escape, take her son, and lock herself inside a bedroom for safety.
Police issued her a medico-legal form, and a doctor certified her injuries as harm. Investigators have since confirmed that the individual involved is wanted in connection with the incident, and court action is being pursued.
