By Horace Palacio: Police in the Cayo District have detained two individuals following the discovery of controlled drugs at a residence in Cotton Tree Village.
On Friday, January 31, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., officers conducted a search on Alex Hyde, which led to the discovery of 764 grams of cannabis. Authorities then proceeded to search his home, where they encountered his common-law wife, Lesandra Guy. Further inspection uncovered three transparent plastic bags containing 13 grams of suspected crack cocaine.
Investigators later discovered that Alex Hyde’s real identity is Alexander Scott, further complicating the case. Both individuals were detained pending charges for “Possession of Controlled Drugs with Intent to Supply to Another.”
The police investigation remains active as authorities work to determine whether the suspects are part of a larger drug distribution network.
