By Aaron Humes: Police seized over one kilogram of various illicit substances, along with a firearm, during an early morning operation in Dangriga Town.
At approximately 4:00 a.m. on Monday, police conducted a joint search at a residence located on Magoon Street. The operation led to the discovery of a nine-millimeter pistol, 45 rounds of ammunition, 462 grams of cannabis, 41 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and 787 grams of cocaine.
As a result of the operation, 56-year-old Charles Peebles, a resident of Magoon Street, was apprehended. He has been charged with multiple offenses, including keeping a firearm without a gun license, keeping ammunition without a gun license, and several counts of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.
