By Breaking Belize News Staff: Mainly fair weather continues to dominate conditions across Belize today. However, changes are expected later as a tropical wave approaches the region.
According to the National Meteorological Service, skies will be mostly sunny today with only isolated showers expected. By tonight, conditions will become partly cloudy to cloudy with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly affecting southern and coastal areas.
Winds will blow from the east at 5 to 10 knots. The sea will be slight, with wave heights between 1 to 3 feet.
Temperatures today will peak around 89°F along the coast, 94°F inland, and 82°F in the hills. Overnight lows are expected to fall to 82°F on the coast, 74°F inland, and 68°F in the hills.
While Tropical Storm Dexter, located some 255 miles northwest of Bermuda, poses no threat to Belize, the forecast for Tuesday and Tuesday night indicates increased cloudiness and a few showers or thunderstorms over most areas.
