By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City woman is out on bail after being charged with wounding and damage to property following her arraignment in the Magistrate’s Court.
Asia Alexandra Pitts, 28, an unemployed resident of Mahogany Street, appeared unrepresented before a magistrate in Court #3, where she was read two charges: one count of wounding upon another woman and one count of damage to property.
Prosecutors allege that Pitts caused injuries to the woman and damaged her belongings, including an iPhone 16 Pro Max valued at $4,500 and a gold karat chain valued at $3,800.
Pitts pleaded not guilty to both charges. With no objection to bail, she was granted bail in the sum of $2,000 plus one surety of the same amount.
As part of her bail conditions, Pitts must not contact or interfere with the virtual complainant, her family, or any prosecution witnesses. She is also required to stay at least 100 yards away from the victim.
Pitts, who was able to meet bail, is scheduled to return to court on May 18, 2026.
