By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizean billiards player Luis Valdez is proudly representing Belize at the North American Heyball Open, taking place from October 22 to 26, 2025, in Mexico City.
The international competition, organized by Joy Billiards, will feature 64 men and 64 women competing for top honors. Each division champion will walk away with US$10,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2026 Heyball Masters.
Valdez, a member of the Belize Billiards Sporting League (BBSL), has been one of the country’s standout players since the league’s formation in 2023. His participation marks another milestone for Belize’s growing billiards community and showcases the nation’s emerging talent on the international stage.
The BBSL and local fans have expressed their full support for Valdez as he prepares to compete against some of the best players from across North America.
The event is endorsed by WPA, WHT, and other major global billiards organizations.
