By Aaron Humes: A local tour operator reported the theft of his boat early Monday morning. His 25-foot skiff, named “Lovely Lylla,” was stolen from the residence of his mechanic on Angel Fish Street in the DFC Area of San Pedro Town.

The alert was raised around 6:00 a.m. after the boat, which had been securely tied to another vessel, was reported missing. The mechanic last checked on the skiff at approximately 3:00 a.m., confirming it was still in place. Upon the boat being reported missing there were immediate searches of the surrounding lagoon area, which unfortunately yielded no results.

The stolen skiff, valued at $28,000, features a white hull and deck with a blue canopy. In addition, the theft included a Yamaha 2-stroke engine, worth $10,000, identified by its serial number: 6K5K-1063327.

Police continue their investigations.
